We’re excited to welcome the return of our English classes at Simpson Memorial Hall in Moston!
We provide learning opportunities for local residents to improve their English, build confidence and connect with others in their community.
Talking Circle – Starting Monday 21 September
Our first English session of the new term is our Talking Circle, starting on Monday 21 September, from 10am to 12pm at Simpson Memorial Hall.
Talking Circle is a friendly and relaxed session where learners can practise speaking English through conversation and everyday topics.
It’s a welcoming space where people can practise their English, build confidence and meet other local people. Learners can take part in conversations, share their experiences and develop useful English skills that they can use in everyday life.
You don’t need to worry about making mistakes – Talking Circle is all about having a go, practising and building confidence together.
Whether you want to feel more confident speaking English, practise your conversation skills or simply meet new people, Talking Circle is a great place to start.
More English Classes Starting in October
Our other English classes will begin in October, with different sessions available depending on learners’ needs and level of English.
English Conversation Class
Tuesdays, 10am–12pm
A free conversation class for intermediate learners. The sessions focus on practising real-life speaking, building confidence and improving fluency in a fun and friendly environment.
Easy English Class
Tuesdays, 12.30pm–2.30pm
A beginner English course for adults, covering basic vocabulary, grammar and essential skills for everyday situations such as shopping, work and travel. Learners will have the opportunity to build their confidence and start using English in real life.
ABCs of English
Wednesdays, 10am–12pm
A free English class for adult absolute beginners with little or no literacy skills in English.
Learners will start with the basics, including the alphabet, phonics and simple writing, while developing everyday vocabulary and practising greetings and conversation skills. The class also uses interactive activities, role-play and games to make learning fun and practical.
