North Manchester Community Partnership is pleased to present its Annual Report for the year 2021-22. This report encapsulates our endeavours, achievements, and financial performance, highlighting our unwavering commitment to enhancing community well-being and fostering sustainable development within North Manchester, especially during this continued time of the COVID-19 crisis.
Key Achievements
Throughout the year, the partnership has successfully launched and sustained numerous initiatives aimed at community enrichment. These initiatives span across various sectors including education, health, social welfare, and environmental sustainability. Noteworthy accomplishments for this year include:
- We were invited to be part of a test and trial working with the Good Things Foundation and Open Awards around the new Essential Digital Skills Qualification (EDSQ) over the summer.
- We were one of the Winners at the Respect Awards in the Community 2021.
- We became part of the National Databank network and will be looking to add the device bank later in 2022.
- We got involved and contributed to the Community Connectors program, which was being delivered by the Caribbean & African Health Network CIC (CAHN) and funded by the NHS, to work with 10 small black-led charities in North Manchester.
- Established a Census hub at Simpson Memorial Hall where the public could access support to fill out the forms online. Our work on this caught the attention of the UK Health Security Agency, and in December 2021, John was approached to take part in an 8-week program working with Documented Migrants to Understand the Impacts of COVID-19 across North Manchester.
