Our chair has been busy getting involved in some wonderful community activities!
Gardening with Toddlers
At the Harpurhey Neighbourhood Centre, she joined the toddlers’ stay and play group for a lively, messy gardening session. Together, they planted bulbs in pots, which we’ll watch grow over the autumn and winter – hopefully brightening the days with cheerful daffodils 🌼. It was a delightful mix of fun, curiosity, and a little bit of mud!

Stepping Into the Ring
Not one to shy away from new experiences, our chair had an unforgettable session with boxing champion Hamza Khorshid. Gloves on and ready to go, she proved it’s never too late to try something new.

Looking After PRO SERVE
She also spent time with the team from PRO SERVE at Simpson Memorial Hall. What a lovely bunch of guys – they spent the day fixing the guttering, making sure our community space is safe and welcoming.

Garden Crew Fun
Our garden crew had a fantastic time recently, and it was especially nice thanks to Pat the Queen of Welcome Centre’s kitchen, who kindly provided drinks for our hardworking lads and lasses. Everyone got stuck in, shared some laughs, and made our community spaces bloom!

From toddlers in the garden to the boxing ring, and from fixing gutters to gardening fun, our chair continues to lead by example – getting involved, having fun and inspiring everyone in the community along the way.
