Africa Day 2025

What a day! On Saturday 21st June, the Simpson Memorial Hall in North Manchester came alive with colour, culture, music, and joy for Africa Day 2025.

From the moment doors opened at noon, the energy was electric. Families, friends, neighbours, and newcomers filled the space, joining together to celebrate the vibrant cultures of Africa and the power of community.

Live performance had the crowd dancing
Our talented performers – singers, dancers and drummers brought the stage to life. Their energy was contagious, and by the end, nearly everyone was on their feet moving to the beat!

Food brought us together
A delicious selection of traditional African dishes

The fashion show was a highlight
Guests were treated to a display of African fashion. Bright prints, bold designs and confident models of all ages lit up the runway and inspired many to embrace their heritage with pride.

Fun for all ages
Children got creative with art activities while adults joined in discussions, laughter, and dancing. The atmosphere was inclusive and joyful – a space where everyone felt welcome.

This event was a true reflection of North Manchester’s diversity, unity, and spirit. We’re proud of what we created together and grateful for the incredible turnout. (See some photos of the day)

A huge thank you to everyone who attended, participated, volunteered, and supported us.

We can’t wait to do it all again!
